A free spreadsheet to keep count of lesson packs
For tutors who sell packs of lessons and count them by hand. Write down each lesson and each payment, and the sheet tells you how many lessons are left, what is still owed and when to tell the family.

- The students, the packs sold, the lessons given and the payments, each on its own sheet.
- The lessons left in each pack, counted for you.
- A pack's row turns amber when two lessons or fewer are left, and red when the pack is used up.
- What has been paid and what is still owed on each pack.
- Formulas only, no macros.

How to use it
- In Students, write each student once, with their parent or guardian and a contact.
- In Packs, write down each pack sold, always at the end of the list: the student, the date it was bought, how many lessons it holds and its price.
- In Lessons, after each lesson, write the date and the student. The lesson counts towards that student's latest pack bought on or before that date.
- In Payments, write down each payment received: the date, the student, the amount and how it was paid. It also counts towards the student's latest pack.
- In Packs, see the lessons left and what is still owed. When 2 lessons or fewer are left, the row turns amber: time to tell the family. When the pack is used up, it turns red.
- The grey columns work themselves out: do not type in them. The rows in italics are examples; delete them when you start.
